Uses:
Currently the standard coast-bronze bearing material; general utility applications for medium loads and speeds; electric-motor bushings; spring-shackle bushings; torque-tube bushings; bushings for automotive generators, distributors and starters; motorcycle-engine bearings; sleeve bushings for cranes and draglines; track-roller bushings for crawler tractors; guide bushings for valves, rams and piston rods; camshaft bushings for tractor engines; roller bushings for conveyors; main bearings for presses; mechanical linkage bushings for farm and material-handling equipment; spindle bushings for farm equipment and trucks.

C93700/SAE 64 - Typical Uses
Characteristics:
Good strength; low thermal conductivity compared to high-tin bronzes; generally high physical properties combined with fairly good bearings qualities; corrosion resistant to mild acids as found in mine water, good resistance to mineral waters or paper-mill sulfite liquor; excellent wear resistance under conditions of high speed, heavy pressure, shock and vibration; low friction; good machining and fair casting properties; can be used where lubrication is doubtful; requires hardened shaft, maximum shaft surface speed can be 800-1000 fpm.
Uses:
Heavy loads and high speeds; backings for Babbitt-lined bearings; wrist-pin and valve rocker arm bushings; fuel and water-pump bushings, aircraft control bushings, electic-motor bushings, steering knuckle bushings; track-roller bushings; crankshaft bearings for outboard motors, power lawn mowers and garden tractors; gear bushings for farm equipment, reducers and motorcycles; cam bushings for mechanical devices; farm equipment and diesel engines; piston pins for packaging equipment and diesel engines; linkage bushings for presses; roll-neck bearings, lathe bearings; Babbitt-lined armature bearings for electrical locomotives; railroad-car bearings; rolling-mill bearings; trunion bearings, impellers; pumps.

Fair strength, corrosion resistant to sea water and brine, resistant to certain concentrations of sulfuric acid and acids in mine waters; fair wear resistance; excellent antifriction qualities, nonseizing; good machining and casting properties; can be used where lubrication is doubtful.
Uses:
General service material for moderate pressures and high speeds; general-purpose wearing material for rob bushings, freight and streetcar bearings, backs for lined bearings; bushings for gasoline pumps; hyraulic glands; seats; deep well pump-bowl bushings; general bearings for locomotive tenders and passenger and freight cars; rolling-mill bearings; diesel engine bearings; kingpin bushings for earth-moving pumps, pump bodies and impellers for acidic water.
